Job description
We are hiring a Senior Accountant in Pakistan to handle bookkeeping and accounting deliverables for Norwegian clients. You will own monthly closings, VAT work, payroll support and reconciliations. You must have at least 5 years of hands on experience delivering accounting work for Norwegian companies.
Primary Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and monthly close for Norwegian clients.
- Bank, balance sheet, and control account reconciliations.
- VAT, including MVA preparation and submissions, plus supporting documentation.
- Payroll accounting support and reporting, including A melding support where relevant.
- Prepare client ready monthly reporting packs, with clear commentary and variance notes.
- Maintain audit ready documentation and structured workpapers.
- Handle customer and vendor ledger, aging, and follow up on missing documentation.
- Support year end processes, including preparation for årsoppgjør and collaboration with auditors or Norwegian partners when needed.
- Improve internal routines, templates, and checklists. Use automation where practical.
Experience & Qualifications
- Typically, a relevant first (Bachelor’s) degree.
- Previous relevant business experience expected.
- Skilled in understanding and applying, standard solutions and product offerings relevant to a service line or expertise area.
- Knows how to identify and apply the tools, techniques or procedures appropriate to assigned work.
- Understands and recognizes similarities between the client's business and other clients/organizations within its industry.
Nice to have
- Experience with Norwegian accounting systems such as Tripletex, Fiken and PowerOffice
- Basic Norwegian language skills.
- Experience building simple automations for reporting, reconciliation checks, or document collection.
Compensation & hours
- Competitive, based on proven Norwegian client experience and skills. Please include your expected monthly salary in PKR in your application.
- 9:00–17:00 PK time, Monday–Friday.
- Pakistan public holidays observed; performance bonus possible.
